Publication Ethics

Editorial ethics:

The editorial board of the collection adheres to the standards of editorial and publishing ethics that comply with international ethical rules for the publication of scientific works.

When publishing the collection, there should be no abuse (bad faith) in the relations between the participants in the editorial and publishing process: authors, editors, reviewers.

Ethics rules for authors:

- work in accordance with the editorial policy of the collection, taking into account current legal requirements regarding copyright, plagiarism, etc.;

- provide reliable results of the work performed on the original research and an objective presentation of its social relevance and practical significance;

- do not publish material devoted to the results of the same research in more than one journal as an original publication;

- guarantee the originality of the presented text; in case of using the works of other authors, provide appropriate bibliographical references or citations;

- adhere to the rules of self-citation, namely: if elements of the material were previously published in another article, the author is obliged to refer to the earlier work and indicate the difference between the new work and the previous one;

- do not allow plagiarism in any form;

- guarantee that the material submitted to the editorial board for publication does not infringe copyright.

Rules of ethics for editors:

- work in accordance with the editorial and publishing policy of the collection, taking into account current legal requirements regarding copyright, plagiarism, etc.; 

- objectively evaluate the materials submitted by the authors; 

- respect the intellectual property of the authors; 

- do not violate the requirement of two-way anonymous review (not to disclose personal data of reviewers to authors, and not to disclose personal data of authors to reviewers); 

- do not disclose information about submitted materials unnecessarily, with the exception of reviewers, potential reviewers, scientific consultants; 

- take measures to identify and prevent the publication of research materials that were conducted in violation of scientific ethics; 

- in the event that the author of the manuscript submitted for publication is the editor himself, transfer the responsibility and rights of the editor regarding this publication to another qualified person;

- be prepared to publish corrections, clarifications, refutations and apologies where necessary.

Ethics rules for reviewers:

- work in accordance with the editorial and publishing policy of the collection, taking into account current legal requirements regarding copyright, plagiarism, etc.;

- not to use unpublished data obtained from materials sent for peer review in personal research without the written consent of the author(s);

- adhere to the review deadlines (up to one month);

- notify the editorial board and request exclusion from the review process if the reviewer reported that he/she does not have the professional qualifications to review the publication or does not have enough time for a timely review;

- consider any material received for review as a confidential document, do not disclose its contents and do not discuss it with any persons other than the members of the editorial board who submitted the material for review;

- give an objective assessment of the materials submitted for review, clearly and reasonedly express their conclusions;

- identify similarities between the reviewed manuscript and any other published scientific work; evaluate the reviewed text from the point of view of scientific ethics.
