Abstract

The article is a review of academic literature on the problem of Ukrainian-Polish relations during the World War II, in particular, on the armed conflict in Volhynia and Galicia. It reveals and analyses differences in the Ukrainian and Polish perspectives. It criticises Polish assessment of the conflict, which does not take into account the international context of those times and the perspectives of Ukrainian historians. It points out that there are some anti-Ukrainian forces in modern Poland, who try to use historical memory to worsen Ukrainian-Polish relations. The article provides arguments for qualification of the Ukrainian-Polish relations during the war as the Ukrainian-Polish war.
