PUBLIC ACTIVITIES OF OSWALD BALZER (1858–1933)

The article highlights participation of the renowned Polish historian Oswald Balzer in public life of Poland. It argues that his public debates in the late 19th – early 20th century on political issues, in which he defended rights of the Polish nation, brought him the greatest popularity. Balzer participated in several Polish learned societies and was a member of Shevchenko Scientific Society in Lviv.
